How to paint your wagon with sales

April 23, 2013 by

There’s two types of people, those going somewhere and those going nowhere.

The quote above, more or less, comes from the movie “Paint Your Wagon”.

I loved that movie and if you’ve ever seen it you’d know exactly what Lee Marvin was talking about.

“You’re either growing or you’re dying, there’s no in between”  –David Dassow

Learning is never out for the pro, another saying more or less by Cavett Roberts.

Asking questions is the best way to challenge YOU.

So, if you’re a newbie, old-timer, or somewhere in between, ask your self the big question; what did I learn this week I didn’t know last week?

The true Professional strives to get better at his/her craft.  The true Professional invests time, energy, and resources into getting better.

Think in terms of questions.

I used to play a lot of tennis before injuries slowed me down.  One thing I loved to do was play against semi-pro and other very good players (way better than me).

Sure, they beat me every time but I got better.  By using them as mentors my game improved and that mattered more to me.

Instead of me thinking it can’t be done, I decided it can be done and found really good tennis players.

If you want to get better at selling pre-need you might want to do the same thing.

What are the possibilities?

Begin asking your self questions and you’ll soon discover you’re getting better quicker faster than you thought…
