To Toast or Not To Toast A LEAD

There’s been a disturbing trend that continues to this day.
Far too many, hard working (but totally misguided) sellers of pre-arrangements cling to the great myth that toasting leads is “bad” and shouldn’t be done because once a lead always a lead.
Somehow every living breathing individual on the planet is a lead for what we sell until they buy or they die,
and, must always stay in our lead box forever and ever…
What do I think?
Below are a few reasons I believe you should be quick to toast a lead:
1. Saves you money
All of your stay-in-touch, follow-up, sales letters, and Special Reports cost money to mail. This means, too many people on your lists not interested not only clog up your lead system but skew your responses and return on investment.
2. More sales
How could lots of toasted leads help your sales? Well, not exactly directly, but if you follow my program I teach you will find your sales going up and get a better return on your investment and a more accurate reflection of your sales letters, newsletter, and other correspondence because your list will be focused on true leads and not clutter.
3. You appeal to buyers and turn off non-buyers.
You’ll increase your return on your investment. You’ll also decrease the complaints. The more “touches” you make the better. I email my subscribers Monday-Friday and periodically send out email-blasts with special offers. Folks who are not interested usually complain to me because they opted into my email years ago and can’t even remember why.
So, the faster I can get folks out of my stay-in-touch program the better. The faster I can determine I don’t have a lead the better.
The faster the better
While you always want to add new leads to your pipeline the real goal is to stream-line your list of folks.
I’m happy when folks unsubscribe from my How To Sell Pre-Need site. I celebrate it! You should celebrate as well.
Clean up you list of folks now…
So I lift my glass to make a toast to the toasted!
By the way, for the next few days I’m offering a sample of my famous newsletter on how to sell pre-need.
