A Quick Money Saving Tip

A Quick Time/Money Saving Tip for the pre-need seller.
If you’re wasting time you’re wasting money!
I think the biggest time waster on the planet is meetings. Depending on the size of your company (the larger the company the more meetings) endless meetings are usually the biggest time waster imaginable.
Here are four quick tips to help you get more out of a meeting or avoid it all together.
Tip number one
What is the purpose of the meeting? If there is no purpose there is no meeting. Meeting just for the sake of meeting is a huge money loser and time waster.
Tip number two
Make sure you have an agenda for the meeting. If there is no agenda the meeting will wonder in all directions and accomplish absolutely nothing. Agenda(less) meetings can go on forever and can drag on forever.
Tip number three
What is your part in the meeting? Many times meetings will be called and you could have participated with something already prepared if you had known about the purpose and agenda in advance. Advance preparation moves meetings along. The worst mistake you can make is having a meeting that ends up doing the prep work for the next meeting.
Tip number four
This is by far the best tip I can give you concerning meetings. Don’t go! If you can get out of the meeting get out. Getting out of meetings is a good thing. Many times I’d schedule appointments with prospects at the same time as the meeting. (a scheduled presentation will get you out of 95% of meetings).
Finally, see my tips on block-scheduling. If regular meetings take place that waste time block your schedule accordingly. It’s difficult for management, fellow sales associates, and anyone else to criticize you if you’re writing business during a time wasting meeting.
Happy Selling!
