The Psychology of Pre-Need Selling Goals

It’s kind of interesting when you find yourself being rewarded for an outstanding month.

As you dwell and contemplate your new goals for the up and coming year maybe you should strive to be at the top of the leader board for more than one month.  Maybe 6 times or more in the coming year?

Sometimes working on your goals can be overwhelming.  When you think about it what goal can you achieve that will really make your year complete?

We’ll be talking a lot about goal achieving over the next several weeks.

What would it take for you to be the number one pre-need seller in your area?

How many phone calls, letters, presentations, would you have to make?

I have a friend who knows exactly how many phone calls he has to make to get a sale.  All he strives for is to hit that number of phone calls because he knows he’s got the sale in the bag if he’ll make X number of calls.

Do you have it down to a science?  Do you know what you have to do daily to get a sale?  Do you focus on a sale a day?  Two sales a day?  Three?

Goal setting is more than just picking a number out of thin air.  Goal setting is about the strategies & techniques to get you to the finish line.

It isn’t about your actual GOAL.  It is about what you need to do every single day to get you to your overall actual goal.

Finally, are you stretching yourself to go further, to advance higher, to accomplish more this year?

Make your goals uncomfortable this year.  Make it seem really difficult to get where you want to be.  Make your goals so high you’ll have to work even smarter to hit them.

Develop your action plan and implement and more importantly execute.  You can do it.  You can double your income in half the time.  Next time we’ll get into the mechanics of how to do it.
