Time Saver Number 6, Lists
February 10, 2009 by David Dassow
There’s an old saying about large projects. They can be so large it’s like eating an elephant. By the way, how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time.
I had a friend ask me the other day how I got so much done. I think the answer shocked him! I don’t necessarily use priority checklists but I do use lists. I’ve discovered if you’ll write down what you need to do on a yellow legal sized pad and simply cross out an item as you accomplish it all you need to do is make it a point to eliminate one or two items a day.
I don’t bother prioritizing the list because I may skip down a few items or work on one item for a few hours make a note and move on to the next item.
Try this some time. Grab a large pad and pencil and jot down things you need to do. Haul the pad with you know matter where you go and cross out at least a couple of items a day.
Add more items as they come up but always cross out a couple of items every single day.
Now, don’t be emailing me and telling me how you’ve got this $300.00 p.d.a. and you need to use it. Try actually writing down your list of stuff. I guarantee that buck spent on a legal sized pad will help you get more accomplished than your high dollar calender.
Happy Selling!
David
