One Close is all you need

Anyway, today we’ll discuss Closing.  I’ve got an mp3 below with more on this topic.

First, you do not need multiple closes.  In fact you need only one close.  Your close is to ask for the check.  If you are running into difficulties getting the check there is a problem in your presentation.  In the membership program I talk about the 4 commitments to a sale.  These 4 commitments will work in any presentation.  Some companies make you use a particular presentation but any presentation will work with the 4 commitments.

As long as you get the 4-commitments you’ll get the sale. 

Recently a sales associate did not get the sale and I asked several questions.  It was pretty funny.  I got all kinds of opinions about why the sale did not go from the sales associate.  But, once I filtered through all of the opinion and got to the core the bottom line is the sales associate did not get the “property” commitment.

The moral of the story is to get the commitments.  I’ll save you lots of time.  If you don’t get the first commitment its time to go home.  If you don’t get the second commitment (of which my sales associate did not get) it is time to go home.  The third and fourth commitments don’t have to be as strong.

  1. what cemetery/funeral home
  2. property commitment/type of funeral
  3. memory commitment
  4. today commitment
