Dare to be “Preneed” Different

I learned a key marketing principle
a long time ago,

A simple principle I use to this day.

That is, if you want to get the same results
that everyone else gets,

Than do the same thing that everyone else does.

It’s called, “the mediocre majority”.

A mentor of mine said it this way:

“The conventional wisdom is ALWAYS wrong.”

I’m kind of a contrarian by nature and
that’s why,

I had no problem embracing this principle.

If you’re like everyone else you’ll get
the same mediocre results everyone else gets.

What this means is when you look at your

You almost certainly do NOT want to model
anything they’re doing.

–Your pricing should be different,

–Your website should be different,

–Your email communications should
be different,

–Your advertising should be different.

Even the way you offer your pre-need
products and services should be different.

Why is this so important?

Because it’s almost a certainty that
there are alternatives to you and
your product/service.

The marketplace is overflowing with
lots of competition and a confusing
array of options.

The only way to stand out from the
crowd is to stand in stark defiance
of what’s seen as NORMAL.

That’s why you don’t want to be a
little bit better at what everyone
else does.

Of course, it means you’ll have to
venture out of,

The “Go along with the crowd” comfort zone –

So you need to ask yourself if you do indeed

The truth is all major breakthroughs in
our industry come from outside
our industry.

And, to make matters more challenging,
how we communicate and,

The way we communicate is changing
by the day.

That’s another reason why you should
be good at sales letters.
