Pre Need Funeral Sales Tips

August 29, 2017 by

Ok, before I give you a big time pre need funeral sales tips let me talk about so called, pre need selling GURUS.

I just got off a a site that has different things you can buy to help you sell preneed.  Here was my first impression.  The language alone looks like something from the 80s and 90s.

Second, the world’s changed a lot in the last 20 – 30 years, and these so called gurus haven’t sold anything, were awful when they did sell, and can’t remember how to sell anything remotely pre need and here’s why…

It’s not about how pretty your folder is, how nice the pictures are in your presentation, or the reasons why your prospect should pre plan.

None of that crap matters because its all about presenting not selling.

Your first tip for today is to recognize that you are “presenting” not selling.  Yes, you’re ultimately selling but no one wants to hear about the benefits and features of a casket … how great the wood is or thick the metal is.

No one wakes up in the morning asking their significant other if they want to buy a casket today!

So, tip number one is to dispense with the selling and pretty presentation material and old 80s / 90s thinking about it.

This idea that there are so many reasons to pre plan is nuts.

People pre plan because they love someone, it’s as simple as that.  It might be their wife, husband, friend, son, daughter, you name it.

Understand that there has to be a reason to pre-plan in your client’s mind.

Your job is to help discover that reason through identifying who it is your prospect loves enough to plan a funeral in advance of the need.

You can get more on this through pre need scripts on the catalog page above.  Also, if you’d like to grab my daily pre need selling tip go to the top right side of this page to get it.  Please also note that I send a daily preneed selling tip Monday through Friday.  If that’s too much for you than don’t subscribe.  We’ll still be friends.

I’ll have another pre need funeral sales tips tomorrow.  Until next time,

Happy Selling!
