The Pre-Need Seller & Fudge

July 26, 2013 by

I’m not sure this is true or not but it got me thinking about the pre-need seller and desserts

According to TLC – 10 Most Popular Desserts in America, by Charles Bryant & Alia Hoyt

Fudge comes in at number one

One of the things I’ve noticed over the last few years with pre-need sellers (especially newbies) is they want their dessert before the main course

There really is no short-cut for dessert

If we used the analogy of a sale –

The newbie tends to measure based on the sale when, in fact, it is the process that got you the sale.

There are steps we all go thru before getting the sale

Anytime you short-cut those steps it’s like eating the dessert before the main course

I know we’d all like to do it but it will lead to lots of frustration (and laziness) – or too many calories

SURE – I know, you might get a walk-in, lay-down, or easy sale that required nothing on your part…

So if it happens treat it like an un-earned dessert – enjoy

Than, focus on the meat & potatoes, the stuff that’s way better for you.

Focus on the process, the steps that led to the sale

Do something every day that brings you closer to a sale and remember

You’re paid for the process not the sale

You’re paid for the steps you took that led you to the sale

That’s the meat and potatoes of it.

That’s the foundation to your success

Happy Selling!
